Practical Lessons From History, For Today
December 4, 2012- Bruce Thatcher was on the Midday Show
with Chris Salcedo and Rick Roberts. When Chris brought up border control and the states’ trying to
solve their problems stemming from illegal immigration, I pointed out that politicians in the White House and in the Congress have chosen not
to or have failed to enforce our immigration laws for the past 40 years or so. The three of us
agreed that that is one of the root causes for the problem.
Before concluding the segment, we touched on the DREAM Act and “what will it take to get Congress to do its job on immigration?” I ventured that it won’t happen until we American citizens make them understand we’re more interested in what they do for America than in what they do for their own re-election. All three of us agreed on that.
